vocky I had a look at it a few months back its the 2010 end case you used to be able to get them off ebay for £110 with no bearings but they dried-up that price is great including the bearings did it say anything about the shimming ? I may get one if I have issues

the kit arrived yesterday

the uprated bearings are quite heavy

had some strange vibration after doing the drivers side shaft so went in to investigate
top = vec c z22se f23 5 speed
middle = vec c z22yh m32 6 speed
bottom = astra vxr m32 6speed

the z22se bracket only suits the middle shaft for the m32 it must be the f23 is wider at the shaft entrance


got to mix and match lol
i ended up putting the astra g outter cv on the z22se solid vectra shaft


took the hollow shaft out and fitted a solid one in hope for strength in the future


all in again...

the uprated bearings are quite heavy

mine shold be here tomorrow with some new gears that i broke

no idea, I will have to open up the box and have a look

the next few days might be fun new subframe bolts,captive nuts and bushes ordered new gears on the way box is coming out eventually

nope there built to take 320nm im way past that so upgrading the main shaft bearings to larger ones for more power handling same as you would with z22se rods

ive snapped the tangs on the syncro's on 3rd and 4th also due to the load and running a higher rpm so 3rd and 4th have been grinding so there getting done at the same time

the parts so far
gearbox pf insert astra vxr
new snr diff bearings
new case with shims and larger bearings
3rd and 4th gear kit
subframe bolts front 4 and rear 6 and captive nuts
power flex subframe bushs on the way

All those GM parts don't look cheap . What will box be able to handle once u uprated/fix the parts listed?

£180 for the case mod and £120 for the gear set paid £55 for the bolts and £133 for the powerflex mounts

it will take more than i can ever put thru it with the upcoming mod
