Fitting the EGR Cheater

did you leave pin C disconnected, this is the ecu 0 volt for the 5v internal power.

if thats ok then it could be your ecu runs a slightly different internal voltage, approx 1 in every 100 ecu's have this problem.

the fix is to fit a different size resistor to replace the 1.5K Ohm resistor.

I can send you a replacement egr cheater with the modification fitted (y)

which resistor is to be taken then?
is there any way to identify those 1% engines, other than trial and error?

Excellent, fitted the new cheater vocky sent me and all is good no EML at all!!

and i guess trial and error is the only way of knowing, though my z22 is 2004 so its one of the later ones, whether they changed the ECU at some point so that engines after a certain engine number are affected I don't know.

I'm from México... a friend made me the circuit and works excellent for my AstraG 2002, thanks a lot for the information.

Good afternoon, question! Are you sell/make this device for engine x25xe? / or we can translate like: Can I use this device to x25xe?

I just fitted the EGR cheater and did the soldering as the told in the instructions but engine error light came on when I started the engine.
Could the EGR cheater be faulty by any change? I have 2 brown wires and I tried both of them with no difference.

I have the following wire colouring:

Pin A brown
Pin B brown/blue
Pin C brown
Pin D black/blue
Pin E black/red

Update: I reseted the ECU and engine light disappeared. I did a little test drive (30-40km) and everything seems to be working just fine now (y)

Dear All,
I want to do the EGR cheaper with relay but I'm not sure, what relay should be.
When AE =12V - relay should be on or
when AE =0V - relay should be on

Thanks for all our suggestions.
