remember the FPR mod is optional if your using the standard intake system,

but basically you would need part no 90373359 (about a tenner) which is a one way valve with a takeoff for some tubing to the FPR situated on the end of the fuel rail

the this valve replaces the standard one way valve that is situated in the brake servo hose

only hose you would need maybe is some hose from the valve to the FPR

you should all test out your new manifold's with a trip to the Nurburgring !!

I'd like to go there. I wouldn't want to really want to race round, just a nice sensible drive round would do me fine. And then I could wear the nice Nurburgring sticker on my boot!

showo..

I'm confused about what other gaskets I need, there was one included in with the manifold, a little green one, what is this one for? And what other ones can I order to make it easier to fit, as opposed to fiddling with existing gaskets? I am keeping my 58mm throttle body by the way.

Part no's would be a real help (sorry if this has been mentioned before - could just do with making sure I have all I need before starting instead of finding out half way through :? ).

Cheers guys

The little green one sits in between the two inlet ports.

The 4 on the existing manifold can be re-used, they're just like elastic bands which you push into a recess. The one against the throttle body is similar and can be re-used.

Do you need any sealant to re-use stuff or is it fine as it is? (I know I'm useless)

Thanks

standard inlet pipe

Gents,

I currently have a courtenay modified standard airbox with courtenay filter and a standard intake pipe on the VX . I know a lot of people have replaced the inlet pipe and I wondered, with the 2.4 mani about to land whether it is worthwhile for me to lose the standard for some straight pipe?. I have a TMS stage 2 map with a miltek and the vacumn take off mod and a ported 58mm TB.

Fitting the 2.4 manifold with an un-modded alternator NOT!

Just a quick fitting update (Note this is for people with a 100A alternator):

I tried to fit the 2.4 manifold without modifying the alternator but by removing the lump from the side of the manifold unfortunately there still is not enough clearance :( about 2mm out. So I had to mod the alternator as well. It was worth a try and I have gained some extra clearance.

Hope this is of help to those yet to fit.

Rght sorry if this is a stupid question but I'm fitting the inlet tomorrow and just noticed this post I've de-restricted my airbox a K&N panel filter and putting on the Veccy C intake pipe while I've everything stripped so does this mean I "will" need to do the FPR mod? notsure.gif
cheers.. Alan
