Well a few weeks ago the car started to smoke after a few seconds after being on idle, so the obvious valve stem oil seals where shot.
So i went about to change them but after removing the air box i found this under it hiding away
ai201.photobucket.com_albums_aa10_sdbutler10_A4ABFA0A_494D_4A413780136e6046395d4d3e8fb93bd1d82.jpg

so me being me i could not hack that and decided it needed to be gone, so i thought about it and decided to remove the engine and box and do it propley
so i removed (cut out) the corroded metal and welded in my own plates and finished them off so they should not rot again and deiced to paint the bay and redo the subframe

i was thinking well while it out i might as well check all the bearings and im glad i did coz i found this

and this on top of the pistons, i found toy bits of metal stuck in the head so turbo must have gone bang at on point

so after much thinking (all of about 10 seconds) i decided to do a complete rebuild of forged components

Has that had a repair in the past Scott? As I'm sure the coupes are galvanised and unless they have been repaired badly in the past they never rust

For 400 the water way is strong enough. It's about 450 u need to start wedging the water way. But tbh I will only ever see full power for like 10 seconds then back off coz fuel gauge dropping to much lol
