It all looks rather tight in there. What a nightmare.

here's a couple of pics of the usa alternator, it has only three mounting points instead of the four on the european alternators

and a pic of some sc injectors :D

I'm slowly beginning to wish I bought the matching 2.4 tb

my 2.0 sc tb is in the way of mounting the ecu in it's original position :(

so I have had to move the ecu to the expansion tank mounting bracket and have started to alter the wiring loom to suit

hi vocky, what are the injectors for notsure.gif are they bigger ones cos i thought the ecu wouldnt allow more petrol in?

my mad theory........

the ecu can adjust fuelling by 20% dunno..

what if you reach the maximum fuelling (because of various mods)

what if you fit 20% bigger injectors, will the ecu adjust the map back to standard to compensate for the bigger injectors notsure.gif

would you get another 20% ecu fuelling adjustment drool.gif

standard injectors are 252cc, 20% = 50.4 cc [302.4cc]
2.0 sc injectors are 310cc

painful leaning over the clam

I'm surprised how easy it is to move the ecu, quite fun to do too :D

If I understand how the system works in that the ECU just controls the time that the injectors fire and this time is determined by the feed back of the lamda sensor to get the AFR right.

So your theory should work as long as you don't over shoot and go to a level the lamda sensor can't read and that the fuel pump can provide enough pressure.

Seems an interesting way to potentially get over 200 bhp without TB's

Do you reckon you could get away with not moving the ECU if you reuse the current TB or the 2.4 TB.

the only reason I've moved the ecu is because of my 2.0sc tb

a standard or 2.4 tb won't interfere with the available space :)

with hindsight I would have bought the 2.4 tb too :)

then I would not have had to make an adaptor for the tb or move the ecu

torn between this and Winsters 4-2-1 custom system but as thats not been made yet will have to wait till there are some official RR figures for what gains each one will give and then see which is better £ for £. Can't wait!

Oh and a complete "how to" would be great too as I am a complete engine novice and I may try this myself (or just give a printout of the how to to a techie at work!

At the moment there is 3 scottish vxers up for a little group buy on inlets, so hopefully we should be able to get them fitted showo..

(only if someone with a clue and some talent posts an very simple how to)

don't forget to order the gasket set :)

What is the ref of the gasket set ?
Not sure about that notsure.gif

the oil gasket (sits in between the ports 2+3 is different) so I advise to order the gasket set with the inlet manifold.
I don't know the part number....yet

This kit looks like it comes with everything needed .. gaskets, adaptor plate and manifold.

I'm not sure why they include an adaptor plate, my 58mm tb was a perfect seal on the 2.4 inlet manifold notsure.gif

only a gasket set [about £5] and the manifold are required for our z22se :)
