Reverse Camera Replaced

Picked up the new camera this morning. It's much better than the previous ones.

It's a totally different connector, so I've had to re-wire it into the HU and power feed, but I've been able to tidy up what I had previously done.

I've screwed the new camera into the existing number plate light. Just drilled two pilot holes first.





The quality of the image is loads better as well.

Well at least I won't have to post this one back to China! I just threw the other one in the bin!

And that's another one gone! Noticed the boost gauge stopped working this afternoon, and the light for the rear window heating element was on all the time.

Quick check of the fuses in the boot showed the 5amp fuse had blown. Replaced the fuse, and the rear element is working correctly, and the boost gauge is working.

Reverse camera is dead as a door nail!

I wonder if the power feed is what has been causing problems on all the other ones as well, as this is the 3rd that has gone now in just over 12 months.

Going to remove it, and leave it removed, as I can't be arsed anymore.
