well, got this phone the other day and what a mistake ive waited 2 months past my upgrade for it and wish i had gone for something like the sony k800i.
the phone is full of faults such as, microphone wont work, turns itself off, freezes and the battery is s**t puke..
have i been given an unlucky box or has any1 else out there got 1 yet?

What you've described above is pretty normal for a new Nokia phone. My N80 was full of bugs when it was first released. You'll probably find that once they have released a new version of the firmware, all the problems will be gone......it's just s**t that you have to wait for them to fix it, rather than delay the release until the problems are resolved.

Well swapped the phone today for another and got the same problems again dunno.. just wondering if phones for you had a dodgy batch as i no other people who have the phone and dont have these problems? think ill go sony ericson again as i had the same problems with my n70...

It's amazing, all the problems you'd normally associate with a PC are now present in mobile phones!

At the moment just over 1 day but I am playing with it's features alot at the moment, so I am running the battery a bit. It's the sat Nav thats killing the battery the most I think. Matt it's just like a pc lol. It's got loads of stuff I have not even looked at yet...

Now the bloody speaker has blown on it and farts all the time on the phone, ahhhhhhhhhhhh, its going back tomo.. third time lucky or try something else??? whats the serroco like as a basic phone?

I also thought my speaker sounded dodgey yesterday but I had it on full power so I turned it down, and it sounded better.

IT WAS THE EAR PIEACE speaker that had blown after the shop had checked it, the bat prob was probily due to misuse of the phone as i discovered it was ex demo from a store as there where pcs already on it of the manager who served me dunno.. anyway, got my third n95 now and pray to god everything works well as everything else on the phone seems cool... wish me luck cheers..

Thats not very good. My brother-in-law has just got this phone as well, I'll tell him to keep an eye (ear) on it

Im getting one in the next 2 weeks free as a upgrade, will have to watch out for it. been waiting for it for ages, but its just like anything new that comes out, you have to expect software problems/issues, that will eventually get resolved.

Will use it for 12 days then see what its like, as i would have 14days to return it and change my mind on the phone

I had loads of issues with my nokia.. So last time i bought a w810I and it has had no probs what so ever which is un heard of these days

I still really want this phone, but I'm going to be waiting till September when I can upgrade for free, and hopefully most of the bugs will have been removed.

I love this phone. It has a good feel to it, it looks quality and has lots of toys. I will get another one soon once the new firmware is out for it.

You can update the firmware yourself Mark via the Nokia Software Updater available on their website. I did with my N80

only problem i get is every so often people can't hear me talking, so i have to put the loud speaker on amd then turn it off and its ok.

ive had mine bout a week now and no problems as of yet but i will sure to watch out for them
