Match TB with manifold

I'm sure Vocky you have mentioned this before however i cannot find the post. I now have a 2.4 manifold. Having seen the gains you have achieved i'm thinking i should order the other parts as i intend have head/cams work done next year. So here is my question. What TB should i be ordering ? Should it be the one from the 2.0sc or from the 2.4 ? I guess i would be best ordering a set injectors while i'm at it. Thank you in advance. Dario.

Always get the matching 2.4 tb, not the 2.0sc item cheers..

Also if you have cams fitted.....get the 2.4 tb cheers..

I already owned a 2.0 sc tb, so to save some dosh (bad mistake) didn't order the 2.4 tb

Hum, do not order injectors if you don't have lot of upgrades, they would be useless dunno..

2.4 TB

Vocky did you order the TB and injectors from saturnpartspeople ? Is the part no. 12565553 for the TB ? Where did you get the injectors from and do you have part no. for them ? Also i know this a stupid question and i'm putting on my flame suit as i ask it - How many injectors are they ? Is it one per cylinder ? As you may might of guessed i'm not too good on the mechanics side of things. I just by the bits and my mate fits them. This brings me to another point. I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank you for all the work/time/effort you have put into getting more power at a reasonable cost out the 2.2. I owe you at least several drinks. Again thanks. Dario. :D

Vocky I didnt buy the 2.4 TB as I was under the impression the standard 2.2 should be ok. Is this right?

And after having a brief look under the bonnet I could only see 1 manifold bolt which gave me the incling that it wasnt going to be an easy job.

What's it like to do on the astra vocky? dunno.. and is there any point in me doing it as I'm hoping to have the s/c conv done at the latest Feb... :D

Don't bother Alan. If you're going for the S/C it will make the inlet redundant. Or you could buy it and sell it on cheap to me.

rofl..

as Johnny rightly said, it's not worth it if going the sc route :)

you need four injectors, but only if every other mod is fitted first :)

2.0 sc injector part number = 12790827

2.4 inlet manifold part number = 12587878

I think that part number is for the 2.0 sc tb, don't buy it, get the matching 2.4 tb :)

saturnpartspeople can supply all the parts :)

you can use the 2.2 tb, just follow the mods required to use it :)

I swapped the inlet manifold on my vx220 using the broom handle method :)

very interested in this mod but just wondered, will i need the ecu
remapping again with just the 2.4 inlet or only if i get the injectors?
also will i have to get it mapped at tms? notsure.gif

not sure whether it would really need a remap, I expect it probably would gain more power with a remap though

If you fit the 310cc (2.0sc) injectors then TMS are the only option for the correct map :)

Vocky you do you know the part no. for the TB or the model/ year that i should be looking for ? I have already got the manifold. I can email Saturn but to be honest they are not the quickest at getting back to you.Dario.

Dario's car will have the 2.4 inlet manifold, TMS exhaust mainfold, full milltek and viper induction 8) Would that be enough to make upgrading the injectors worthwhile? :?

add some cams and then the injectors will probably be required, without cams it should just be ok with standard injectors dunno..

I suppose if you can get them cheap enough it's worth sticking them in with the inlet manifold, less shipping costs then :)
