I read that Johnny as well so went out and put the cone back in Saturday. The cars initial response was ok, seemed below par up to 2500 revs and died there after. It had no go and i had to be a good boy on a mixed drive, even a Hyundi pulled away from me.
Noticed our posts deleted Johnny, credit where its due.

There will soon be a uk supplier of the 2.4 inlet manifolds, a group buy from them might also be possible dunno..

Oh really? cool! Anyone we know? probably screw us on price like :(

Thorney Motorsport. Vocky will lead the way to a good price i'm sure.

I hope the price is fair, we know what they cost, so can barter for a good deal :)

I am aware some people do not like importing stuff, so this is an option for them.

We could try for a group buy direct, but I'm unsure whether we could pull it off notsure.gif

At the end of the day I like my tuning stuff cheap and I expect you guys and girls do too :D

the green coloured gaskets are correct, the red gaskets are not needed

did you fit the green gaskets or did they come with the manifold notsure.gif

Markv has noticed the 58mm throttle body isn't a perfect match to the 2.4 inlet manifold with the 2.4 tb gasket.

I have just tried a spare 58mm throttle body on my 2.4 inlet manifold with the 2.2 tb gasket and it does seal.

I thought it best to point out you must use the 2.2 gasket if using the 58mm tb :)

So the standard one thats on my 2.2 TB?

i.e. can I can use use the standard TB with this manifold and is a straight swap.

yes you need to use the 2.2 gasket, the tb fits but needs the four mounting holes opening up by 1.5mm, I think they are 6.5mm - so a 8mm hole :)

it's just that the gasket seal is close on one side of the tb and the 2.4 gasket is a bit thinner than the 2.2

Just ordered mine there, however I'm expecting an email from them as there was no option for international shipping and I only paid $13 what..

2.4 inlet manifold from the link at the start of the thread. looking at the engine bay in my car there it looks like its gonna be too much of a PITA so I may cancel.

it's easy to change in a vx220, just prop the engine cover fully open with a broom handle, makes a big difference :)
