a quick thanx to markv for spotting the following info

the rolling road results from the usa

Dyno tests:

GM's Stock 2.2 Intake manifold HP Best: 138.61 @ 5500
CED's Kit 2.4 Kit Intake manifold HP Best: 151.73 @ 6300
Gain: 13.12HP

GM's Stock 2.2 Intake manifold TQ Best: 140.00 @ 4400
CED's Kit 2.4 Kit Intake manifold TQ Best: 142.12 @ 4900
Gain: 2.12TQ

Now keep in mind not looking at MAX peak (thought they increased as well) @ 6200 RPM there is a 21Hp and 18Tq increase.

just to add.......

that's with a 58mm throttle body, not a 68mm tb :)

That's a good increase in the mid to top end torque, does it say if there where any other mods?

Should be interesting to see the results of your remap, where you taking it?

2.4 mani and TB looks as though it could be a cheap alternative to ITB's in fact the power curve reminds me of the ITB's the way there is no real increase until after std peak power then it just keeps going linearly.

Does the throttle sit higher on the 2.4 inlet manifold, or is it dimensionally the same as the 2.2?
I expect if the adapter plate was used it would sit higher.

Reason i ask is something i have had an idea on for ages, but noticed the standard inlet pipe from air box is touching the sound insulation under bonnet.
May be able to mill off the bottom of the throttle, will have to have a look but i dont expect much if anything.

if a 2.2 or 2.4 tb is used then no spacer required, it will sit at the same height as standard inlet manifold :)

There will soon be a uk supplier of the 2.4 inlet manifolds, a group buy from them might also be possible dunno..

Ere Neil!! A bit off topic but relavant, you know the trumpet in the top (lid) of the airbox, have you heard if its best to leave that one in place or remove it? I read that it is there to cause a swirl in the induction pipe??
