I'm doing a few other mods whilst it's apart and some bits and pieces have not arrived, so it's not running yet

got a servo vacuum hose one way valve from a 96 astra, so connected that up.
[a 95 corsa has the same valve]

I wanted to test the ecu wiring so fired up the engine with the standard injectors, started first time :)

just waiting for parts to arrive now

I'm not sure to understand ? You replaced the complete vaccum hose from the manifold to the VAC on your VX ?

follow the vacuum pipe from the inlet manifold, after 300mm there is a small one way valve, this needs to be replaced along with the pipe from the manifold.

very easy to do, unlike replacing the complete pipe to the brake servo

here's a pic of the new one way valve and my temporary pipe connecting it to the inlet manifold :)

here's a pic of my dipstick bracket :)

some bits arrived today, so they got fitted

I have refitted the k+n cone filter which was on my vx when I bought it, the standard airbox would not be very easy to modify

So I now have a 75mm internal diameter intake system

there's a filter down there somewhere

so apart from the injectors and wiring up the oil pressure gauge it's done...for now

That fuel pressure regulator pipe, depending on positioning in the inlet pipe, how much of an effect will that have on fuelling?

I was thinking about that too notsure.gif

I might not have enough vacuum with the 75mm pipework, but I do have a plan B which is connect it to the servo pipe (circled in red in the fifth pic up) :)

I was wondering if the Vectra C induction pipe was causing me a problem becasue its 70mm bore all the way thru from airbox to T/B as opposed to the O/E flat pipe??

that's a similar situation to mine, maybe not enough vacuum to increase the fuel pressure notsure.gif

I will measure both of my 2.2's with my digital pressure gauge :)

me too....considering i got a vec pipe too...

i bet ure mrs loves you neil....Quote just nipping out to tinker with vx love,,,wifes response ..see ya next week...lol

I'm back already

right then, I used my digital manometer 0 - 20 mBar 8)

standard z22se [precat removed only]

idle = 0.2 mBar suction to fpr (fuel pressure regulator)
4k rpm = 6.0 mBar suction to fpr

my vx220

idle = 0.2 mBar suction to fpr
4k rpm = 0.2 mBar suction to fpr

so I will be using plan B otherwise the fuel pressure will not rise with the revs

Manifold + 2.4 TB + gasket ordered :D

the tb and gasket set will make it much easier to fit :D

I've moved the fpr vacum pipe to the servo one way valve [there is a small take off fitted to it] and fitted the correct 'servo brake hose' from the valve to the inlet manifold :)
