Chains Replaced But Engine Still Noisy

I hope its not the flywheel - sounds expensive! Do they have DMF on auto transmission?

The alternator is also fairly new - just a few months old so won't be that.
Sorry mate, didn't pick up on the auto bit, and in that case sorry I have no idea.

Your vid sounds like mine did when I first used to start it when it had a sticky lifter, but it would only do it on a warm, not hot engine and only for the first 10 seconds. Flushing it regularly and switching to 10/40 oil has solved this for me.

Its difficult to tell from the video. Z22yh engines do run fairly noisy compared to many other engines. if there is a metal rattling sound, I'd say its either the alternator bearings or the air con compressor bearings. Sound can be transferred all over the place on cars. You need to get hold of a stethoscope type tool with probe, they are not expensive. Place it on each component carefully while engine is running and you will soon find the culprit. It will sound like a bag of pebbles being rattled on a metal bin lid when you touch the right component.

I recently replaced the chain kits on a z22yh, it was farily quiet afterwards, so they should not be too noisy :)
