Z22SE EGR error codes P0404 & P1414

This morning, while the wife was driving home, the EML came on and, when I checked the codes with OpCom, it was showing P0404 & P1414. Both related to the EGR.

Thing is, the EGR has been removed. This was done before I got the car so I don't know what was done on the 'cheater' side of things but we've had the car for something like 8 months and this is the first time we've had these codes come up.

Any ideas?

Thinking this might be the case.. the old blanking plate was minging so it (and the cheater) may have been fitted years ago for all I know.
The current plan, unless someone comes up with a better one, is to buy a new cheater and fit that... just hope I can find the current one. Dunno what it looks like or where it might be, all the wires near the EGR are taped up and there's nothing to see.
