what a pain this is i installed windows vista premium home on my laptop now when i try to install my tiscali broadband it just doesnt get past step 2 on the instalation disc (there are 7 steps) any ideas anybody please this is driveing me mad ive been trying for hours i should of stuck with xp maybe i will if cant sort this out

U might find that the tiscali software isnt supported yet....was in pc world 2day and they were afew people in there complaing that there isp software wont work with vista...

thanks daz wasnt sure if just me or anyone else had had probs i have emailed tiscali earlier today so hopefully they will answer soon then at least i will know then. back to xp me thinks

Have a look on the tiscali website, and see if they have a new version of software out with is compatible with Vista. Thats one of the biggest issues at the minute, software and hardware support.

All you need to do is connect your ethernet cable and let vista configure the network, of course make sure you have internet security 1st. no need for tiscali,aol and all that other bloatware
 
phone tiscali m8, or defo try the above i had same with with ntl one, but then ran it with everything connected and it seem to go through ok
