Following my engine failure/swap I have the following that I don't really want to hang on to!
Either would be useful for someone who is planning an upgrade for more power as they will let you build a spare engine out of the car in your own time and only swap when you are ready
With the right bits replaced and work done I imagine both engines will be better than new (i.e. new pistons, rods etc)
Engine one
- Complete standard head with cams, lifters, the whole lot. Two valves on this head had kissed the head, minimal marks on the valves only. This head came from a separate engine to the bottom end below.
- Full standard bottom end (50k). Big end bearings failed but crank looks ok. Main bearings also ok. Pistons/rods/bores all appear fine.
Engine two
- Complete, unopened z22se engine from a 2003 vectra estate.
- Has done 182k but I have heard it running and once warmed up it sounded fine with no alarming signs.
I guess people may want to split them (i.e. if you just want a head or a block) but I thought I would offer them as complete units for simplicity first. Both engines should be relatively easy to refresh the "consumable" parts.
PM me if you are interested in bits.
