Turbo for vectra-c 2.2?

Hello everybody,
Nw i decided to buy a vectra c,
And i need much power..
So i think of 2.0T but it's very expensive here in Egypt and i cant find any spare parts for it..

So the only options are:
2.2 direct (z22yh)
2.2 indirect (z22se)..

And i will fit a turbo kit..
So...
Which one is better?
What will i need to fit aturbo in addition to the full kit? (does interiors of the eng should be changed,pistons, cam, injectors?)
About compression ratio, should it be lowered?how? (i just need 250 hp)

hello and welcome,
maybe its worth speaking to the doc ( atom x ) he deals with z20net engines a lot and i gather he removes the whole turbo setup.(inlet manifold exhaust etc)
its the sister engine to the z22se so all you would need in theory is:-

a whole new exhaust system (fairly cheap and easy if you carry the work out yourself)

intercooler set up (if the kit doesnt come with one)

injectors (blue or green gm's)

re-map or aftermarket ecu

manual waste gate valve (maybe)

from what i know 250 bhp should be possible with standard internals although you will be pushing it a little. other than that it will all go on with relatively little fuss as all the bolt holes etc, will be the same

if you speak to garret, (the z20net turbo manufacturerer) they can upgrade the turbo internals etc if more power is required.

so if less than 250hp there is no need to change any of the interiors, right?

Ok, what about compression ratio , should it be lowered?
And why not the z22yh?

um i dont know a lot about the z22yh i gather its a bit of a pain!
yeah the internals should be good for less than 250

oh and the z20net turbo setup is a low compression system.

There's no manifolds on that kit mate so you'd have to buy them as well.

This is the sort of thing you need to be looking for, note this kit is sold.
