hi, have had this done for a couple of weeks now, but just thought i would let you lot in on the fun..

this was all done by me but mainly my local neighbourhood Vocky who is a legend!

here is the mod that you have to do to the 100amp alternator. You have to take plastic cover off and also trip down the thread where the red wire goes. You can leave about 5mm of thread there but as the inlet manifold is metal kind off didnt want to risk it

below is the mod that you have to do to the pipe (water pipe i think) we used a vauxhall omega v6 water pipe as Vocky happened to off brought it along and it was a perfect fit. As you can see all we had to do was like the pipes together using a metal water pipe connector

Below is a picture of where you have to run the pipes through the door sill (driver side) The best thing to do as said earlier, is to use a bit of 1/2 inch copper pipe tape the pipe to the end and push it through, then take the black seal off (the black plastic with triangle bits on inside the cabin) then un-tap it and thread the pipe through two holes that you have to make - very painful! do not attempt if you have big arms!)

Awesome !!!

You and Vocky have done a great job.

I thought that people didnt get on with regrinds with forced induction.

270 is very very good result.

it weighs around 850ishkgs and indeed it is very nippy!

just cant unleash the full 270bhp until vocky can change the rods and pistons for me  and while he is there might aswell do a balance deletion and flywheel, new clutch etc :D

should be a good beast!

Very well done there. Are you sure that's 270bhp at the wheels?? I would have thought that the figure is the calculated flywheel figure. If thats 270 @ wheels, it would make the flywheel figure well over 300bhp. Looking at the torque figure of around 220lbs it would indicate a BHP flywheel figure.

It does state 'clutch power' and 'clutch torque' on the graph so it would indicate that its is actully a flywheel figure.

If that was an "at the wheels" figure, the volume of your exhaust and your MOT status would have been the least of your worries, me thinks! You'd be getting very intimate with the innards of your engine.

It did go bloody well though, I'll give it that. :D
