right so im posting this info here so its all in one place and i can use it as a reference to see how to get it working :)

heres the plug and pin outs to the ic plug
  • A: ignition 1 voltage (+12v)
  • B: IC timing control
  • E: Ground 0V
  • F: not used (cam signal)
  • G: IC timing control B

each lsj coil has 2 wire that are common across the loom A + D

the z22se throttle body plug is a direct fit for the coil loom

heres the proposed wiring i will go and test then report back
coils 1+4 ic timing circuit are wire together
and 2+3 ic timing circuit the same

seams im going to need to probe the wires there in different locations on the plug from the dis image

also found the wiring from the ecu on the z22se
c1 = suppressor
t1 = dis coil pack

cam signal will be removed making the eml come on and so ive read the fueling will not be sequential below 3000rpm

ive never owned a bm so cant say for that :)
the z20net and the lsj have individual coils its the z22se coil pack that has to be adopted to the z20net in this case
so trying to reverse engineer the single coils back on to the z20net but with the drive of the z22se ecu
they do look better on the engine than the modified z22se dis pack

think the main problem now is the simulated cam signal but other than that it will work

not sure how the z22se ecu will react, but it will probably will go into limp mode
have you tried this way in your ecotec adventures in the past ?
i thought about leaving the ic in the loop for the cam signal then running the coils in pairs

I looked into it, but never got around to trying it.

I still have a set of Saab coilpacks somewhere for mine, they should work with the webcon ecu, but I really need to find them first

im waiting for a response back from PJ as his car is running with the lsj coils im sure there will be some complication but hey for $38 its worth a try :)

right have been mulling this over abit the last coupe of days

found the vid on the 2.2 coil/icm diagnosis and gave me an idea
2.2coils.JPG

he also shows the way the system works
2.2coils2.JPG

so that got me thinking why not just use the icm and the the 4 coils wired in pairs and back to the icm so to keep the cam signal

stripped the loom back on the lsj coils and made the wiring suit the adaptation will give it a test in the morning and see what happens

tried this today it ran but very lumpy like it was missing a coil or i had the wrong pins
will upload the vid later

lol i was told it runs lumpy cause i'd not fitted the bolts to the coils as there part of the earth
i also dont have an earth on the rocker cover and its powder coated and i should lol works fine tho

Wanted to try this mod for some time and good to see it's tried out here. And yes, you need to bolt the coils down for earth and earth the valve cover!
The LSJ coils are differently wired than the Saab version (Trionic T8 Ion sensing stuff), so anybody has a wiring scheme of the Saab B207 coils??

had another go with the coils again today with the bolts and the earth still wont run looks like one of the coils is dead
