Has anyone used the dutch software on an Astra?

Just dug out the supercharger kit to make sure its all still there since I moved last year.
Looks like I just need a drive belt and ECU software.
I've been thinking about the remap and its a long drive from Warrington in the North West to Norfolk to get a remap from CS if I make any mods once its done, so I was looking at other options.
Has anyone tried using the dutch sotfware for the VX220 on the Astra yet? I know its different software but it must be possible to get it working even if I need to do some extra re-wiring for a few bits.
Does anyone know roughly how much it costs to have the ECU flashed to work with the OBD Tuner software?

Not sure if its compatible with the Astra? Its something I was going to look into for when I supercharge my Astra..

AFAIK its about £700

Worse case scenario I can see is I might have to get a vx220 wiring loom and cooling module and basically have a vx220 setup with no cruise control inside my Astra.

From what I thought, the vx220 does not have a cooling module and the astra does.. Hence why the obdtuner wouldn't work on the astra...

@vocky would be the one to know...

Would be nice to find out what mods were required to get it going. I've just tried flashing a vx220 file to a spare ecu to see what errors come up. Surprisingly, none, but the engine doesn't start! Haha. It would never be that easy would it. :ROFLMAO:
I think it's time to look for some wiring diagrams.

I have found you need to clear error codes off the z22se ecu with opcom after flashing, otherwise it doesn't start.

I'll give it another go today. (y)

I have this on my Astra 2.2 SC and it works great. Cruise control isn't availabel anymore as the VX220 wasn't supplied with it. All other functions like climate control / airco, ABS, ESP, airbags etc. work as they have their own Ecu's. Check my thread: https://z22se.co.uk/threads/supercharged-from-holland.21021/page-5

Are there no mods needed for the cooling system then? From reading your thread it looks like its works straight out of the box?

Car is running on VX220 base software now. No errors showing on opcom either.
And the engine seems to be ticking over better.
Going for a test drive. I think I will be going for the OBDTuner software, even if its a bit more expensive than getting CS to do it.
It's gotta be better to be able to self tune

My Astra G is supercharged like z22se-fan with the ODBTuner software in original ECU :sneaky:. Living in France it was the best solution for me.
M62 + 3.1" pulley + Green LSj inj + Phenolic gasket + Dual Pass mod + ODBT firmware= working great (y)!
Also, if you have futur projects like me (2.5" exhaust system) you don't have to do again a remap, you do it yourself
Peter from ODBT told me that i'll lose cruise control, but i tried it and still works :woot:
No mods needed for the principal cooling system cause you have to make another one independent.

Cruise control still works!

@danprice7134 maybe you should test this..... I

Or is it because @Marty64 used the astra ecu?

I have a spare ecu with cruise control programmed I can get flashed and see if it still works.
I know if I use the mpps cable to copy the data from one ecu to another, the cruise control isn't affected so it must be stored somewhere this cable can't read/write to.
My cruise control is still working now and I have the vx220 software flashed with the mpps cable. The cooling fans work as well, but I think the cooling module may be happy to work alone if the ecu doesn't know it's there.
Maybe it will work on the vectra too and still have cruise control.

Does anyone know how to program the cruise control function?
I've looked in opcom and I don't think it's there.
Maybe it can be programmed/re-enabled after its flashed for use with OBD Tuner

Select vehicle and go into the first ecu:

First ecu you need to select is: IPC (The dash ecu)
Once the ecu has been read ok check for any fault codes and clear them.
Now select 'PROGRAMMING'
Next select 'Engine Variant configuration' and change cruise control to 'PRESENT'
Now select 'PROGRAMMING' and wait till it says successful.
Once its successful exit out of that ecu.

Next ecu to select and change is: CIM (Column integrated module)
Read the ecu and check for any fault codes and clear them.
New select 'PROGRAMMING'
Next select 'Engine Variant configuration' and change cruise control to 'PRESENT'
Now press next till you can see 'Country Code' and change to 'GREAT BRITAIN'
Now select 'PROGRAMMING' and wait till it says successful.
Once its successful exit out of that ecu.

Also needed to go into the engine ECU and do variant coding and say CC is present.

Close Op-Com and remove interface.
