well interested in the inlet manifold!!! looks simple to fit and a huge gain even with standard throttle body. can you use the standard inlet manifold gasket for the new one?? does the throttle body fit without any modification??

you can use the standard gaskets, BUT you would have to use instant gasket on the centre oil breather gasket.
I sealed the 2.2 gasket into the manifold and allowed it to cure, then used some more sealer around the oil breather gasket cutout and the head.
you just need to open up the bolt holes by 1.5 mm, so drill a 8mm hole for the bolts, but it will fit without drilling them.

well, Ive just ordered the 2.4l intake and the 2.4l throttle body as Ive already got the piper cams fitted.
Wasnt sure weather to go with the 2.4l throttle body as I'm worried it wont work as in markv's case? But i've gone ahead anyway, seems daft not to as it should make combined postage cheaper? I'm just hoping that the problems mark is getting is down to the nethelands strict emissions control in the ecu or because he has standard cams? I dunno but I cant see why a 68mm sc throttle would work and not the same 68mm 2.4l unit? dunno.. fingers crossed hey

I'm not going to get the injectors, well not just yet, Ive just ordered a dbilas flowmaster intake system aswell and the cost soon builds up. I suspect Ill be ok on the standard ones until I get the sports cat and manifold done.

The mechanic a few of us use for vx220 work in glasgow has agreed to fit the manifolds. cheers..

No, it is not a Dutch emissions thing
. The ECU has a table which has the throttle position and how much air pressure to expect in the manifold for that position. It will compare that to the actual measured pressure in the manifold by the MAP sensor. If they differ more then 30kPa, it will log the P1514.So if you have better flow then my engine (by fitting cams, flowed head, bigger valves, wasted stem valves, exhaust manifold) the pressure difference will be less. As long as it is within this tollerance you should not see P1514.
The problem is though, that we know with Vocky's state of tune it isn't a problem, but we don't know where the crossover point is.
