Have been told its a timing belt has to be replaced every 100, 000kms yeah the motor looks same as one mat put up just say on the back its an 2.2. How does egr valve blanking work on this? Blanking unplug it or just dont bother?

c22sel was a motor made here in Australia. From what I know it's pretty much a motor that was only used in Australian cars.

engine's with the C prefix didn't have the egr valves.
wouldn't make any difference at all to blank/remove it in terms of power gain on the x20xev as it only opens on idle or off load. tried it on mine with dyno runs before and after 0 bhp gain.
cam belts should be replaced at 40k miles with new rollers and tensioner and bolt. complete genuine kits can be found for around £30.
