So back in work Tuesday and had a few hours on it after work, stripped the front down. Had to straighten the bumper bar corner, metal behind, bonnet and wing. Replaced the headlight and cleaned the bumper up, re set the camber and tracking and it's good to go again. Noticed the cv gaiter has split so will do that at a later date.

Hopefully get it the back sorted in the next few weeks. Just need a tailgate and rear lights.

Few hours spent on the car ticking off a few jobs, had split a outer cv joint gaiter so replaced that and roughly reset the tracking and camber

Managed to rip both bumper mounts off going into the gravel so made some plates up and modded the wing mounts to take a rivnut to easy fitting and removal

Ran the last race without the supertrapp (removed for rolling road as the probe goes up the exhaust) on and hated it, could barely hear the charger over the droning exhaust note. I added 4 extra plates to compensate for the extra power. Gave it a spray with zinc base coat then high temp top coat

Car goes to Nuffield accident repair in poole tomorrow for my mate Nick to work hos magic and see what's salvageable before needing to replace panels.

Crashing sucks! So sorry to see you in the kitty litter, hope you get it fixed OK.

Curious, what chassis setting were you running? All the FWD VX motor sport stuff round the back of ours seem to be running a lot more camber than you and I also remember you said you were thinking of running toe-out on the rear?

It's getting fixed this week.

I run -3.2 degrees negative camber front and -2.3 degrees rear and zero toe front and 1mm toe out rear.

From its first dry test I found the camber spot on tyre wear wise but need harder springs all round (500lb front and 400lb rear) as having to run 5 clicks from hard all round on the dampers.

My biggest problem was the Dunlops have had it really, there really old and had a hard life and gone hard so struggled with grip so there coming off and the 888's going on as they are a lot newer and a slightly softer compound.

So dropped the car off at my sponsors bodyshop, Nuffield accident repair in poole and it's getting pulled back out hopefully on the original panels.

So after a 9 hour round trip thanks to retards crashing on a Friday I went up to figo126 to collect his spare shell to steal some panels from if needed. Massive thanks to him for helping me out, really appreciate it mate (y)

Update from the bodyshop, after a few hours work they've managed to pull the panels straight, just need a bit of fine tweaking, a touch of filler and some paint and it's good to go! Just need to find a rear bumper in europa blue and some rear lights if anyone knows of some going cheap?

Cool must be the photos not showing the camber to well.

I've got a set of R888R's ready to try on mine when the DZ03G's run out - will be interesting to compare notes.
Maybe mix them? DZ03G's on the front, they will hold up to FWD abuse better over a race. R888R's on the rear.
How long are the races?

Yeah must be, I can run up to about -4 on the front if needed.

My direzzas have gone hard so there coming off and I'm gonna use my 888's up. I'll then look to run 888r all round with a medium up front and possibly a soft at the rear for the shorter races I do (20 minutes) but the AFRC races are 45 minutes so they won't last. Toyo sponsor our race series so I get large discount on them so makes sense to swap to them although the direzza is the better tyre imo
