problems with my car

i have a egr cheater and i have had problems since before and after fitting,the eml will come on and stay on,now i have a working opcom i can get some readings

I would check the coolant temp sensor and wiring dunno..

the egr cheater can sometimes give a code because they are too fast at switching from open to closed, but it doesn't normally show up unless another code is present

i cleared the codes and when driving localy no eml came on,as soon as i start to cruise at 70mph the eml comes on and stays on,the only code that comes up is p1404 and p0404,all the others codes noted preciously have not come back

worth doing the actuator test on the egr valve using opcom

the cheater should respond
