F23 Diff Bearings

Help Vectra c 2.2 2002 Petrol.
I have a lot of play on the nearside driveshaft where it enters the Gearbox. Suspect the Diff Bearings are going as I also have a dronning noise.
Whats involved in replacing the bearings or should I look towards a second hand box any one got one?

the vec C F23 are cheap (around £100), so just swap the gearbox
