Coil pack bolts

Hi all just wondering if anyone knows what size thread the coil pack bolts are? Some total weapon has overtightend them and de threaded the rocker cover so I need to buy a tap not sure of the size

Hi Mark, the ignition module (coil pack) bolts are M6 x 45. (so M6 tap, usually 1mm for each thread).
Probably worth buying a tap & die set.

The bolts should only be tightened to 10 Nm / 7.38 ft lb

Cheers I'll get it ordered. Yeah I know they are supposed to be nipped up. I got the bolts from vauxhall today. Didn't know they had stripped the cam case thought it was just the bolts more work ahead

you will most likely need a new cam cover or longer bolts.
maybe helicoils would hold as well?

does car run OK because one of those bolts is for the earth to the coil pack
