Brake pad sensor problem..

So... I have a SRi 150 Vectra B, and the brake pad warning came up on the display.
OK, thinks I, I'll buy me some pads and sensors and get it done.Took the wheels off, checked the pads - they were fine, thousands of miles left in them.Looked for the sensor wires..... and there are none.I assume that at some point an owner in the past has been a tight sod and just joined some wires somewhere to stop the warning inside the car. There is nothing anywhere near the hub for the sensor wires to plug into, and I can't see anything under the bonnet that is obviously a bodged bit of wiring.
I just want to get rid of the warning and the 'check' light on the display in the car - anyone know where the wiring for the sensors goes into ?

they are normally next to the brake pipes, but if someone has removed the loom it was be hard to locate where.

best bet is to try and see of there is any electrical tape wrapped around the loom, especially on the passenger side below the abs unit

In my opinion...brake wear sensors arnt needed, as they shud be checked periodicly and shundt wear down that far to start with....hence why i done away with them on my old vec....

I don't have a problem with them not being there... I just want to make sure that the joined wires are secure to get rid of the poxy warning.

Its been two years but definately nsfront only.
The pads should have the wear sensor stud or socket so that the £3.5 wear sensor cable attaches to and in turn usually a joint some where up the strut.

pain in the ass if u ask me

your yearly MOT will pick up disc / pad wear imo

on an old mrk3 astra gsi the brake pad wires were joined together to stop the MFD showing it up

on my previous vectra the pads got that low i had to replace both sensors lol
