It is evocarlos, a guy I work with had to go through it with his Tiger Avon kit car. The book for it that tells you all the things they test etc. is about an inch or so thick. He had to make sure that everything was compliant before he went for it as it's not cheap either. Mind you, that's where the fun starts once your through it, if he takes it for an MOT somewhere different he ends up having an argument with them about the emissions. As his is a "Q" plate it's exhaust smoke only but he's had testers insist it should have a cat etc. (1.8 fiesta engine in it putting out about 400bhp per ton running twin webber 40's). They can't do a brake test on the rollers as it has a limited slip differential now so they have to do a deceleration test the old fashioned way (which some testers don't have a clue how to do or have even heard of).

not done to much since the last update but started sound proofing, done roof and rear quarters, only used 80 sheets. 3 layers.
got rear trim and roof lining back in as well
fitted a 2.5" piper cat back instead of the 2" and she's much quieter now

been busy in the man lab rebuilding the engine ready, arp studs, shrick cams, standard z22se bottom end, b207r head, tullet exhaust, standard inlet for now

time for an update, z22se engine is now fitted, finished sound proofing the floor, test drive went great.
had a bit of trouble with the clutch, engine came out twice to sort it.
vectra C has a deeper bell housing inside than the earlier z22se cars and the slave cylinder didnt reach the clutch. lucky i had a spare astra g f23 box. wrong ratio's but will do for now until i find another z22se f23 gear box to break for parts.

well after a mad rush to finish the small sound system and get Betty mot'd in time for PVS all went well
apart from the rockford amps being low on power the 250.1 was so poor it didnt get fitted, just used the 400.4 as a 3 channel amp.
untill today when the new JL HD 600/4 amp arrived
more importantly she drives great
just needs the cdti gearbox fitting. while i'm doing it she's getting a new clutch and flywheel to cope with any future engine mods that may come?????????
mapping is booked for 25th july up at courtenay sport.
may fit the quaife diff before then if clutch turns up in time?
