Last update for a little while.
headlights polished up a bit
Seats and steering wheel installed.
All thats left to do now is a little bit of paint work, wheel alignment and its all done.
Not sure at this point when it'll be on the road but hopefully early next year.
Yeah they work really well on the car.
cant wait to take it for a spin when it has seats in it. not easy driving it sitting on the floor and also not having the steering wheel bolted in. Everytime I accelerated the wheel came off which was fun.
drove it out of the shed. Hopefully seats and steering wheel will be ready tomorrow. Not very comfortable sitting on the floor.
To do list:
Install seats and steering wheel
Gear and handbrake gaitors (when they arrive)
Replace blown speedo globes
Paint front bar, bonnet and rear bar
Filled fluids today. Started it up. Once oil pressure was built up, plugged coil pack in and she fired up first go. Then ran out of fuel after 5 seconds.
Put in a few litres and let her idle till thermostat opened up. Runs nice a quite so exhaust will come in time.
Tyres fitted to wheels...
Interior is coming along nicely.
Rear speakers installed.
Drivers door speaker installed.
Sub and amp wiring run to boot (silly not to do it while interior is out)
Footwell leds wired up. (They are meant to be DRL's but they look great and bright inside the car :) )
Tomorrow. Fix up...
Here's whats left to get done over the next couple of days.
Install new coolant hoses
Fit front suspension with camber bolts
Wheels and tyres:
Alfa 159 17" wheels (inc spare)
Michelin Pilot Sport 3 tyres
Exterior body work...
Engine is back in the car.
Decided to keep original gearbox as I don't have the time to open and inspect the 4.17fd box.
Here a quick pic of the engine before it went back on the subframe. (a few spares in the background 3 engines and 2 gearboxes)
Engine bay washed.
Polished exhaust shields
Painted vxr calipers and discs. (opc logos inside discs in blue)
Fitted headlight level sensor to rear beam.
A couple of pics. (exhaust system will be changed once car is on road)
