Girlfriends parents are going overseas in a couple of months and want to hire a car in Glasgow.
Does anyone know of any cheap, reputable company to book through.

Last update for a little while.
headlights polished up a bit
Seats and steering wheel installed.
All thats left to do now is a little bit of paint work, wheel alignment and its all done.
Not sure at this point when it'll be on the road but hopefully early next year.
Yeah they work really well on the car.
cant wait to take it for a spin when it has seats in it. not easy driving it sitting on the floor and also not having the steering wheel bolted in. Everytime I accelerated the wheel came off which was fun.
drove it out of the shed. Hopefully seats and steering wheel will be ready tomorrow. Not very comfortable sitting on the floor.
To do list:
Install seats and steering wheel
Gear and handbrake gaitors (when they arrive)
Replace blown speedo globes
Paint front bar, bonnet and rear bar
Polish or...
Filled fluids today. Started it up. Once oil pressure was built up, plugged coil pack in and she fired up first go. Then ran out of fuel after 5 seconds.
Put in a few litres and let her idle till thermostat opened up. Runs nice a quite so exhaust will come in time.
Tyres fitted to wheels...
Interior is coming along nicely.
Rear speakers installed.
Drivers door speaker installed.
Sub and amp wiring run to boot (silly not to do it while interior is out)
Footwell leds wired up. (They are meant to be DRL's but they look great and bright inside the car :) )
Tomorrow. Fix up...
Almost done.
Tyres getting fitted on monday, Still waiting on seats and steering wheel. And need to get front bar painted.
will finish off interior over the weekend.

Engine is back in the car.
Decided to keep original gearbox as I don't have the time to open and inspect the 4.17fd box.

I know. If only I could get stainless torx screws. It will be replaced with a brand new one though. bumper has to come off so behind it can all be cleaned up anyway.
little but of work on the rear and underside today. (serviced rear calipers, new pads, discs, shocks, springs, and gloss black undercoating)

found my original chain kits. tensioner was the newer style 4 press one and was complete.
Cleaned up sump and there isn't anything in there.
must of happened to previous owner and they got it fixed.
I've just taken my old old 2.2 apart to inspect the bottom end bearing before it goes into one of the other cars.
Dropped the sump off and heard something rattle inside.
No idea where its come from. I've checked tensioners and they are all fine.
Only thing I can think off is its come from...
Autovaux recently had some aftermarket kits avalible cheap.
TC was 72
BC was 70.
I've fitted one set to one of my cars. Guides seemed to be exactly the same as GM ones as were the chains. The sprockets were made of a different material.
