Stay away from ebc they are rubbish. Look for textar or TRW pads. Much higher quality. Both are OEM for opel. If you need me to source and post to you that's easy enough.
Braided lines go courtaney sports in the UK.
Front sway isn't really needed. I've not seen the need to add one as it will increase understeer but if you really want one get a whiteline one. Cheap on ebay aus.

Okay thanks mate, i have done some research on a stiffer front sway bar but for a front wheel drive its not really needed so i think i will scrap that idea.

Also here is just a picture of something i done quickly lastnight... White LEDs for the angel eyes. then soon to put the 5000k HIDs back in. (didnt like how the previous yellow-ish angel eye colour looked with the white/blue look of the HIDs)

Hey mate, good to see an aussie with a 2.2 Sri! The engine's gone on mine, and I've lined up a replacement, how hard was it getting the engine out the top? the book says get it out down the bottom, did you have problems getting it past the abs bizzo?

It was a very tight fit, i found it easier to take it all out as motor and transmission. i would also have a couple of mates to help you guide the engine out its almost impossible to do it on your own without catching anything.

Hey guys, im trying to source the traction control button/loom that goes in the center console just above the gear shifter. if someone could point me in the right direction that would be great!

Thanks for that mate, I rang Holden and they had no clue what i was talking about so i think i will just send courtenay a email and ask how much to post it down here.

Yeah don't bother with Holden. Order fro uk. Will be at least half the price of buying locally 😉

hey guys, sorry but just another few questions. where could i order aftermarket Pistons and Connecting rods for the z22se, i have found alot of stuff for the 2.0 turbo but not much for the 2.2... Im looking to get a second engine and build it up properly to almost bullet proof. just looking for parts and prices for now, probably wont happen until Christmas or so.. Any links or information would be great!! =D

Just an update for everyone, The astra has been running great since the rebuild without a single hitch or problem. As some of you may have guessed i have been doing some research into a much bigger project. something will a little more... Boost.
So sorry for the many questions to come 😉

Okay after some looking around i have found these items, anyone used these or know of anyone who have?
The Piston and rod set seem pretty cheep for what you get but i have not seen anything else for the z22se on the net yet,
also found some other things that i want to put in there, one thing im sure i have seen before but dont know much about
are the oil jet spray for the cylinder sleeves? where would i get thoes and how hard is it to tap into the oil? but anyways

They do have oversize valves if i decide to get some head work done, i have also found the 8.9:1 ratio piston and rod set but with the rules here in Australia turbocharging seems to be alot of hassle (but not impossible 😉 ). if anyone can give me any tips or anything that would be great! right now im just researching and getting prices and as much information as i can.

turbo is all down to the space at the back of the engine and theres not much room
the valve springs im sure @[deleted] said there was machine work to fit the retainers ??

i like the look of the remote oil filter may come in handy for my Supercharged build 🙂

the oil jets would need to come from an LSJ or z20net they require 2 holes one for the banjo bolt and one for a locating peg and prolly the bit where they mount to machining flat
vocky has covered this on the forum 🙂 but its a z20net block as there a standard item on that block
