Zafira gearbox into VX220

I can't see an AS gearbox code for a F23 in the list notsure.gif

Just picked up the zafira.

Code on the gearbox is AQ.

really confused now as thats not on the list anywhere.
I presume it will be a wide ratio with the 4.17 but guess i won't know unless i open it up.

The zaf is an October 2002 z22se. We never got the option of any other engine model for them in Australia.

there is a long number beneath the barcode
if you give me that I can work out what gear ratio set and differential ratio you have

can not see any numbers or ident there. The whole engine bay is covered in oil and dirt so will give it a clean when the sun is up tomorrow.

Only other things i can see on the gb is the F23 stamp on the top and GM and Getrag on the rear.

took another look at the box today. definitely no other markings anywhere on it.

After a bit of research as well, The zafira we got here in Australia was built in the Thailand GM plant. So far all I have found out is that the engine is built in Germany but other than that I can not get any more info.

When it gets closer to doing the swap i will give Holden a call here and see what I can find out.

I have just bought a zaf 2.2 gearbox
and it has code AQ
So I have the same dilema
I will split tomorrow and check diff teeth numbers

I have striped and counted 18 teeth on pinion & 75 teeth on crown
I can confirm that AQ is the same as SG

that is 4.17:1
