Just goes to show that regular oil changes and just abit of looking after and no matter how hard you drive it the engine is good it really bugs me when people say these engines are unreliable.

Really does. Same for most cars though, a lot of people will let the serving slip as they get older as well.

it really is in good condition i think that may have helped with the 270hp figures when it was rolling roaded
going to strip the block and thinking of changing the rods then porting the head
send the crank off and get the knife edging and balancing done once ive checked the journal size :)

you should polish n port the head, thats a good idea, then you should fit it on mine, and you can have my head, mines only done 73000 miles and i keep service up so should be good.(y)(y)

but thats no good for me :cry::cry:(the bottom end that is). well you have your old charger aswell dont you? so u could polish n port the head n do a proper decoration job on the bottom end again n sell it complete, should fetch good money, if you got another ecu to map the new engine on you could sell the old ecu with the full plug and play engine/ecu kit.
