aye xp wont recognise over 3gb on 32bit

My Ubuntu can use the full 4GB though, and it seems a bit faster. I'm quite looking forward to getting windows 7 now.

yeh i could use 250gb hard drives on socket 7 motherboards with mandrake

Had to cancel my pre-order due to buying the new car. Will have to wait until after Xmas now until I upgrade.

Installed Windows 7 this morning at work. just need to do the update to get all the drivers etc when I get home tonight.

Got all the drivers etc last night, and made a start installing the apps I need. Office 2007 went in fine, AVG paid version, Firefox, Photoshop Elements 6.

was the installation simple and quick, i hear that you can install this on lower spec machines too.

Yep, can run OK on fairly low spec old machines.

Install from start to finish took about 20 minutes.

My Vista is running ok, I was looking into Windows 7

From using it for a few days, Windows 7 is a lot better than Vista.

I have found a few sites that when you come to download it says that the operating system is not compatible. I use Nokia Music store for my music and it won't let me download to my laptop. Works fine on my desktop PC that's running XP.

Is there a newer version of the Nokia software that will work with Windows 7?

thats not hard matt

i spend hours every week cracking hp laptops so they can accept xp installations due to the problems with vista and HP laptops not being backward compatible

windows 7 is better than vista but i think windows 2000 is better than vista

i have tried windows 7 and i am not that impressed tbh, a hell of a lot of teething issues and is usable for the every day web browser & office apps
