I always find one of the best places to get any audio stuff from is www.caraudiodirect.co.uk I've got all my stuff form them, and they also have a full forum which is absolutely huge, for any further advice.
I think that is the only feasoble way to have an amp with the standard head unit. Although for the hassle involved, I'd personally just get a new head unit.
Thanks for all that info guys, I think i might look out for a speaker out to line out converter then, as i really do want to keep the standard head unit and glovebox changer.
vdo do a range which work with the standard display and steering controls, you can get the head units from £180 for mp3 and the adaptor is only £15 which is a lot cheaper than most aftermarket kits, the vdo range should be available through your local vaux dealer
hello people. i have quite a bit of experience with car stereo stuff.i've fitted an adapter to work the steering controls and one of the cables needed modifying-anoying
