You could by a speaker out to line out converter from Autoleads that way you can keep the standard head unit and still have an amplifier

I think that is the only feasoble way to have an amp with the standard head unit. Although for the hassle involved, I'd personally just get a new head unit.

It is not that bad a hassle depends how desperate you are to keep the headunit standard. :wink:

I've found a 400watt amp that will take a speaker lead input. It says in the Maplin description that it is ideal for upgrading a standard head unit.

Might hunt around some more, £59.99 is that a good price ???

vdo do a range which work with the standard display and steering controls,you can get the head units from £180 for mp3 and the adaptor is only £15 which is a lot cheaper than most aftermarket kits,the vdo range should be available through your local vaux dealer
