Standard head unit, advice please

You could by a speaker out to line out converter from Autoleads that way you can keep the standard head unit and still have an amplifier

I think that is the only feasoble way to have an amp with the standard head unit. Although for the hassle involved, I'd personally just get a new head unit.

It is not that bad a hassle depends how desperate you are to keep the headunit standard. :wink:

Thanks for all that info guys, I think i might look out for a speaker out to line out converter then, as i really do want to keep the standard head unit and glovebox changer.

vdo do a range which work with the standard display and steering controls,you can get the head units from £180 for mp3 and the adaptor is only £15 which is a lot cheaper than most aftermarket kits,the vdo range should be available through your local vaux dealer

hello people. i have quite a bit of experience with car stereo stuff.i've fitted an adapter to work the steering controls and one of the cables needed modifying-anoying :roll:
