Cheers mate. I know of an inlet manifold an throttle body for sale so might give this a go.

Just buy a OE blanking plate, part no 24575592, from a dealer if you want to remove the EGR. But as I said previously, removing it completely is not advisable, as it needs to be cancelled via Tech2. And IMO there is little to be gained by removing or blanking it off in the first place, unless you're a tight ass and won't replace a dodgey EGR :LOL:

Those who can access field rememdy 1721, will find more gen on the matter.

a dodgy egr valve will still need replacing - the ecu monitors the movement of the valve head via a potentiometer :(

any potential extra power comes from removing the restriction in the inlet duct

as for the merits of the egr, they don't fit them in the usa and it appears even vx are bypassing them
