P0404 Fault code... EGR blanked & cheater fitted??

Hi All,

I recently had the EML come on and when scanned got P0404 - Exhaust Gas Recirculation Circuit Range/Performance - fault code so I ordered an EGR blanking plate & Cheater from here.
I fitted both yesterday but im still getting the EML light and P0404 fault code intermittently???
Am I missing something? Or could the EGR cheater not be making the circuit?

Any help would be gratefully received.

did you reset the codes ?

it's possible to still get hidden performance error codes as the egr cheater is too quick for some ecu's, but normally it doesn't throw the eml.

do you get any other codes when the eml comes on ?
