Lot of work to be getting on with then mate. First thing I'd fix would be the smoke detector at the top of the stairs and the one at the bottom. Then maybe see why the top cabinets are coming away from the wall in the kitchen. Looks like a lovely place mate, nice size and well laid out too. Glad your in for Christmas with a bit of time to get yourself a little settled mate.

That's already sorted, batteries were flat, so we replaced them.
Brackets just needed adjusting from the inside of the cabinet.

That's the plan. Hopefully this is our "forever" type house. It's got everything we wanted in a house, and after a couple of days, we are really enjoying being there.that will keep you busy for a few years

Did you have the heads for both detectors then only it looked like they were missing in the photos. The sad side of my job in building maintenance is I spot things like that, lol. So glad your enjoying the new place and it's feeling like home.

Yeah, I took the photos just after I took the heads off to get new batteries for them
The cupboards in the kitchen are coming off tomorrow as well, as they aren't the same as the other ones.

Shame they weren't hard wired ones, so much easier and better. No batteries to remember to replace. At least you're in for Christmas with a little time to get a bit sorted out before it arrives.
