i have been told that a z22se on bodies will be a disappointing sound after having a 2.0L 16v?
not the right car for bodies as she's going to be a sound car now.
guess i will have to buy more corsa c's and do more swaps

Yeah can't beat a C20XE on tb's for noise. I reckon with some long trumpets it could sound good still but yeah a sound car will sap the power of tb's where as a charger you can just add more boost

or keep the astra final drive ratio set in? change to a zafira final drive for even faster acceleration

thats not true, they sound awesome on a z22se

that would be so slow for top end, over 4k to do 70mph.
would get there quick

the red one is in the mid 20's now, needs map tweaking after 3" down pipe. thats with a 3.54:1 final drive.
if i did build one with a 4.17:1 ratio i would buy shares in shell as well

I am getting high 20's / low 30's mpg from my vx220

plus i like the weeeeeeeP sound to much

any way finally got round to fitting the cdti gear box last night,
then she bit me

happy with the way she goes now, plus if i fit a charger fitting a second alternator will be harder to do.
never going to be a performance car with 1/2 a ton or more of sound system in her!

been a while since last update,
few little mods done with the help of friends due to the broken legs
some done at end of last year.
rear disc brake axle fitted along with Whiteline ARB,
17" Corsa D sxi alloys on,
rest of Irmscher body kit from the Escort fitted (Escort fitted with standard kit and sold on for a profit!),
colour coded rear arches on rear bumper,
smoked side repeaters fitted,
black halo head lamps fitted,
Heko wind deflectors fitted,
Irmscher pedals fitted,
still not progressed with sound system but did get a price on having it built, £5000-6000 labour!

need to polish her up ready for VBOA rally next weekend now.
still considering supercharging as i have most of the bits. new exhaust manifold fans and cooler rad is all i need now.

uncovered her for the first time since VBOA this week.
still on progress with sound system other than new RCA leads front to back.
took a few photo's. needs a good clean, filthy cow!
