    Supercharging DIY

The Larini system is 2.25" I think  I know the DeCat pipe is 2.25", because I had to ad a silencer to it, after I got the SC on. So instead of a Cat I have a Vibrant Performance silencer. (http://vibrantperformance.com/catalog/p ... ucts_id=45) it was to noisy without it. Now it`s fine...

    Supercharging DIY

Time for a little update, I have finnaly got a bit of time to work on the car again. The Piper cam`s are out. A Piper exhaust manifold is on, after a lot of work, had to warm it up and straighten out the flange and remove a lot of bumps after the welding, the manifold looks good at first, but...

    My Supercharger Build

I removed my inlet today, the gasket looked ok, so I think I will put it back together with an unmodified gasket tomorrow and see how the car reacts to that, went to my local Opel dealer today and ordered 3 gaskets, will have them by tomorrow morning. It`s a bit weird that Courtenay don`t do...

    My Supercharger Build

Let us know what Jon sais regarding the gasket, I will remove the inlet again tomorow to see if there`s a leak there, if Jon say`s it is not necessary, I will just put it togheter with a new unmodified gasket...

    My Supercharger Build

Only thing that is different from mine now is the FPR, I have that connected to the brake vacum one-way valve takeoff. Will try to fix the takeoff on the top of the manifold, and move the hose over to the manifold

    My Supercharger Build

That`s what i thought, I have tried to block the fuel vent pipe and the vacum hose to the brakes, also checked the gasket on the TB everything seems to be ok. The weird thing is that the idle is fine (1000rpm) as long as the car rolls, if I put it in neutral and let the car roll it`s fine but as...

    My Supercharger Build

The GM-build book say that the gasket is supposed to be modified for the crank-breather, if Courtenay doesn`t do this, then it`s possible that this is the solution to my high idle, because of the extra air dunno.. Picture from the book:

rik Did you modify the gasket between the inlet and the head? I modified it like the GM-build book explains, but I`m afraid this is where I have an Air leak, can`t find it anywhere else.

    My Supercharger Build

The car settled down a bit when I connected the wire on the alternator, it seems to be ok now, fast as h.... :) Lambda readings are fine, but the idle is still a bit high, 1400rpm. Will do some more research tomorow. Thanks for the help here guys cheers..

    My Supercharger Build

    Yes it is, rewired like this: A B C D E F G H A= blue (goes to A on 68mm TB) B= red/white (goes to H on 68mm TB) C= black/white (goes to G on 68mm TB) D= blue (goes to D on 68mm TB) E= brown/red (goes to F on 68mm TB) F= black/red (goes to E on 68mm TB) G= brown (goes to C on 68mm TB) H=...

    My Supercharger Build

Hi The takeoff on the LSJ TB is not blocked but connected to the fuel filter thingy, don`t think that should be a problem, the green gasket is on, have sprayed the components with carb. cleaner to see if It sucks air but can`t find anything, starting to get afraid I have got the cam timing...

    My Supercharger Build

The car is up and running now :) but there is a little air leak somewhere, the idle varies from 800-2400rpm, so I will start with the MAP sensor tomorrow, find some o-rings and get it sorted out. Took it for a litle test drive though :) :) :) the whiiiiine is just awesome, think I will fall...

    My Supercharger Build

Ok, I have a bracket from an LSJ Map sensor that fits, but I thougth the sensor had to fit in the hole to prevent an air leak?
