My Supercharger Build

Yes it is, rewired like this:
A B C D
E F G H

A= blue (goes to A on 68mm TB)
B= red/white (goes to H on 68mm TB)
C= black/white (goes to G on 68mm TB)
D= blue (goes to D on 68mm TB)
E= brown/red (goes to F on 68mm TB)
F= black/red (goes to E on 68mm TB)
G= brown (goes to C on 68mm TB)
H= black/brown (goes to B on 68mm TB)

My lambda readings:

It has a more stabile idle now, but its way to high.
But the battery was flat now, so it seems like the alternator is not charging, will try to connect the wire to the alternator next, there are only one wire and two places to connect it on the LSJ alternator, they are marked S and ?, don`t know which one I am supposed to use. Will give it a try

The car settled down a bit when I connected the wire on the alternator, it seems to be ok now, fast as h.... :) Lambda readings are fine, but the idle is still a bit high, 1400rpm. Will do some more research tomorow.
Thanks for the help here guys cheers..

Did you modify the gasket between the inlet and the head? I modified it like the GM-build book explains, but I`m afraid this is where I have an Air leak, can`t find it anywhere else.

The GM-build book say that the gasket is supposed to be modified for the crank-breather, if Courtenay doesn`t do this, then it`s possible that this is the solution to my high idle, because of the extra air dunno..

you should not modify the gasket as per the 'build book', the cms mapping cannot handle the extra air flow.

it will affect tickover if it's modified, I would check around the throttle body or maybe the fuel tank vent valve pipe is leaking (the one which normally connects to the 68mm tb or to the 2.2 inlet manifold)

That`s what i thought, I have tried to block the fuel vent pipe and the vacum hose to the brakes, also checked the gasket on the TB everything seems to be ok.
The weird thing is that the idle is fine (1000rpm) as long as the car rolls, if I put it in neutral and let the car roll it`s fine but as soon as I stop the car, the idle raises to 1400-1500rpm... If it was an air leak, i thought it would be the same if the car stood still or drove

I'll have to do that to the gasket then. I have the clam off at the moment fitted a new water pump.. but the whining is still there :x I'll have to take the chain cover off and see if anything's wrong and retime it.

Thining only appeared when i fitted the copy-part water pump so I assumed the pump was the problem. I'd had the car running in almost silence with the sc on.. but then I realised I'd snapped the impeller off my original pump so that's when i fitted the copy part and the whining begun.. and now I've put a proper vauxhall pump in and the whining is still there dunno.. do you think this noise could be the balance shafts/chain misaligned??

Here's my pipes configuration which I think is different to yours..
Fuel breather - disconnected
FPR - goes to top of manifold
Brake vacuum - takeoff on the SC (not the tb)
Boost bypass valve- top connection connected, bottom connection open
Takeoff on the TB - nothing connected & blocked up
Engine breather pipe - routed to side and connected to small filter

Could be worth trying this way incase there is some weird feedback loop going on or something?

Only thing that is different from mine now is the FPR, I have that connected to the brake vacum one-way valve takeoff. Will try to fix the takeoff on the top of the manifold, and move the hose over to the manifold

could well be the balancer chain needs re-timing, a pain to do but you need to check the coloured links align

Yep.. retimed it all and the noise has gone away. How strange that the balance shafts whine if they are mistimed.. I thought they would just make the engine bumpy dunno..

quiet as a mouse now :D

car's still in bits.. I decided it's better to wait to ask Jon wether the gasket needs to be cut rather than rushing to put it together tonight.. as long as it's done by tuesday coz I'm going there on wednesday! that's come round fast.. I've still not even driven it at full pelt

Let us know what Jon sais regarding the gasket, I will remove the inlet again tomorow to see if there`s a leak there, if Jon say`s it is not necessary, I will just put it togheter with a new unmodified gasket...
