I put my new piper manifold on my VX220 at the weekend and intially it was leaking a bit so I tightened it up whilst hot and seemingly got a good seal but I was worried I tightened it up too much. is that possible? TIS says use 12nm which is nothing but I can't get my torque wrench in as access...

If you are worried about it then get it changed. Benny did mine on my VX220 and the piece of mind it gives is well worth the cost of the work. If it was a belt you wouldn't think twice about getting it changed so why hestitate with a chain, it doesn't cost that much more if you go to the right...

Morning all, just thought I would report another success of Benny the chain king. I paid my second visit to Benny this weekend to get the Cam chain on my VX220 changed, and again walked away a happy customer. Benny tells me it was the first VX so it took him a bit longer than it did when he did...

He's not answered my PMs either, wonder if he is on his holidays!

oh well, it'll fly by. So many things to sort before I pick it up it has to be 2 weeks. The best things are always worth waiting for 63..

Well sort of... after 18 months without Vauxhall ownership after selling my coupe I am currently looking for a VX220. rallygif looks like I will be going for a z22se engined one so i might be a regular back on here again (not that I was a heavy poster before) Good to see some familar names...

nah, no modding plans so as to keep the warranty :D Looking around though there is not much to do on it. because there aren't many about nobody seems to do much for them. I thought you might be able to get them remapped but as far as I can tell its a no go at the moment... :(

well I picked it up and must say I love it. Overall not that much faster than the astra but on the twisty stuff it feels quicker (but small cars always do) Turbo really kicks in about 3.5k and then it flies... Couple of pics (in case anyone is interested! dunno.. )

Lol, I hope so. Stats vary a bit depending on who you believe its 0-60 in 7.2 seconds. It only weighs a smidge over a tonne... Can't wait to find out how well it goes on Saturday. Always hard to find out properly on a test drive...

nope, it not a honda civic! Its mitsubishi colt CZT. 1.5 turbo showo.. Sorry for tkaing so long to reply by the way :oops:
