Fiat 500 EML

EML came on the fiat the other day. Can't find my code reader either :(

Booked into the garage next Tuesday for them to take a look, as we've still got 12 months warranty left on it

Took it out for a run tonight, as Amy was driving the Audi back. It's bloody horrible to drive. Think it's in safe mode, as it won't rev past 3,000rpm, and is running rough as a dog.

More than likely a sensor or something, an the exhaust has started to blow quite badly. Could possibly be linked depending on where the blow is.

As said let them replace as much as possible under warranty.

Thanks for the offer mate. Just going to leave it on the drive until Tuesday, as she doesn't need to drive it over the weekend, and just let them deal with it.

The plastic c-pillar trim has started to come away. One of the clips is missing, and the roof lining is sagging, so that's getting mentioned as well!

Yep, going to make sure they sort everything that's wrong with it. There is no reason why something that is only 4 years old should be falling apart (granted it's a Fiat, but it's basically 80% a Ford KA!)

f**king Ford!

Took the car in this morning, dropped it off, and told them to call us when it was fixed.

Got a call later this afternoon to tell us they don't know what's wrong with it, their equipment doesn't work with the Fiat 500 (even though it's a KA!) and that we need to book it into Fiat, get them to diagnose it, and they will then see if they will authorise the warranty claim depending on what they find!

Erm, hang on a minute, we paid them £400 for a 2 year warranty. How is it my problem they can't diagnose it? They shouldn't sell it if they can't work on the car.

So after an argument with the service manager, it's now booked into Fiat and they are taking it over, and sorting it out. Can't take it while next Wednesday, so wanted us to come and get the car as it's "still driveable". It's in limp home mode, and won't go about 3,000rpm, so told them we want a courtesy car until it's fixed. No surprise, they don't have one while next Wednesday. So they are going to call me again tomorrow when they have sorted us a car out.

That's not great at all, makes my p**s boil!

I was fobbed off left right and centre with the warranty I had on the Ibiza total waste of money was meant to be backed by RAC and covered everything.

Think most I got out of it was tracking that was done badly.

Make sure you rag the bollocks out of the courtesy car they provide!

Saying that, you paid for the warranty so you shouldn't have to do anything apart from deliver the car to them. They have to do the arranging with Fiat and just let you know whats going on.
