Yes, we have set up the first Official Performance Centres accross the UK. The main reasons behind this are that we are simply too busy (in terms of workshop) with leadtimes stretching into weeks sometimes and thats not good either for customer care or commercial growth. We also had situations this year where people were dricing 600 miles to come to us, waiting for their car to be enhanced then driving back and frankly I didn't think that was fair or even safe, on numoerous occassions we've arrived at the workshop to find owners sleeping in their cars in the car park as they've driven through the night to get to us. So we've spent the last year or so developing our non VX220 product into something that we can offer via selected Vauxhall retailers.
We've been supplying dealers with exhausts for some time (the VXR range is a Vauxhall approved upgrade) and they have been asking us to be able to offer the same upgrades we offer direct to their customers.
Dealer selection is heavily vetted, typically is lead by a customer request "my dealer is excellent, can they be a Performance Centre" and technicians recieve training here in Milton Keynes on every aspect of what upgrades entail, including enhanced fault finding and extra preparatory work over and above Vauxhall training. Sales, parts and service staff also recieve product training and we monitor customer service, care and satisfaction very closely.
We still offer all the same upgrades here should people still wish to come to us.
All of the upgrades are covered by our own three year/60k warranty which compliments Vauxhalls own warranty on the car.
The VX220 is not covered by this expansion. No real clandestine reason why, just that the VX220 is a very unique car and whilst there are a great many dealers who are pretty good at them most shy away from the car due to the relative complexity of working on them. Also the rest of our Vauxhall remapping has been developed to allow Bluefin installation (hand held device that dealers can use) we can't use that on VX220's.
We still offer custom remapping at out own workshop.
Diesel remapping will be available in January.
