Having a better look today, mine has the interlocking bit at the top, 6 holes under the pulley as per the pics at the top, instead of the 120's 4, the black plastic looks like the 100 amps. And bolts holding it on. dunno..

At least ill have an easier time fitting the 2.4 manifold 🙂

Checked mine 2day.....100A yipppeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee....held on with 13mm headed bolts tho....so it seems that theorys out of the window....only def way of knowing is to check on the alt itself

Or check the casing! Did you have interlocking or a gap (see above)

Ummmm.....didnt look at that bit.... 8) def says 100 on the back and has sixx holes above and below the pully

Might be an age thing? or might depend on which vauxhall you have?

and to back that up, my 120A alternator was bolted to the head with Torx bolts.

so has it been confirmed yet that if you have an interlocking bit on your alternator that thats the 100 amp alt?

On both mine and jamme's car ours had the interlocking bit and they were 100a alts....

thanks daz i have the interlocking bit so fingers crossed ive got the 100amp gonna get car on my ramp at weekend so hope to find out for sure

If the alternator has the six holes above the pulley does this mean it's the 100amp or is this still a not sure??? Just looking at mine their it has the 13mm bolts but it has the six holes above the pulley just the car is due to go into my mechanics on Tuesday or am I gonna have to strip everything out the way and check myself if so where and how do I find out if it is the 100amp or 120amp???? help please!!!

Here's a pic of my alternator sorry about the quality of the pics and the top one needed turned round it's came up side ways some how but it looks like it has the interlocking bit here's a pic any help will be greatly appreciated
