sad to hear of the destruction of your manta, at least you lived to tell the tale cheers..
anyway, the water pump chain tensioner is quite small, so not much tension applied to the chain 🙂
plus all it's doing is turning the water pump, the heavy balancer shafts would have applied much more load to the bearings and they didn't wear out the bearings :?
now all they do is turn, so the load has diminished 🙂
