hmmmmmm now ive got something to think about properly lol.

been given a spec from the cobalt forums in the US for a 250-300bhp setup that would cost about £2K in parts.....but BAF of sorting out a proper ECU/throttle setup... OR this one that looks easy and really cheap too.

don't forget 200 bhp was achieved with a 6300rpm rev limiter and running lean :shock:

it's now got a 6850 rpm limiter and is back at TMS for mapping of the bigger injectors 🙂

so more power to come dunno..

good point.... my only bug bear is having to go get it remapped at a "tuner" (I hate/dont trust ALL of them)

still 199 would be "fine" how long did you run it sans remap?

Ah! I didn't know the 200bph was with the 6300rpm limiter, nice 😃. But why not a 7000rpm revlimit? I mean, what I understood about this engine from a guy that worked on the design is not to go above 7200 in standard trim mainly because of the balance shafts. So I would guess 7000 should be very safe, even with a long stroke engine like the z22se. And it will probably give you a bit more space after
peak horsepower is reached. Would guess with your cams it should peak around 6800?

I did ask for a 7000rpm limit, but the first map used only had a 6850 rpm limit.

I hope to have an update by the end of the week dunno..

what do you think the driveability and reliability of your engine now vocky, still really reliable?

all my mods are robust (touch wood), nothing has lowered the life expectancy of the engine = 100,000 miles+

I just wish they did the mods at the factory :lol:

just good old fashioned tweaking 8)

my vx220 is still with the mapping specialists, once mapped it will return to TMS for another rr to confirm figures 🙂

just picked my vx220 up from TMS 😃

it's not quite finished but JT wanted me to try it for a few days for some feedback 🙂

so initial feeling..........

flat spot has gone and power delivery is superb, what a difference the sc injectors and mapping has made 😃

pick up through the gears at speed is so quick now showo..

exhaust sound has changed slightly, but think of a race car and that's pretty close 8)

well guys this is the level of tune to aim for, you will not be disappointed cheers..

do you need itb's or a sc....that's up to you dunno..

but I'm staying completely neutral as you would expect 🙂
