Daz Now where cani put the air filter...it aint gonna fit ere cos with the headlight in there aint no room... I have got an intercooler lying about,but dont think fitting that and then having the airfilter on the other end wud be anygood...
vocky the bore is too big and not enough back pressure dunno.. try adding a 2" system and centre box 🙂
Daz Bit more progress 2day in between mot's..cleaned up the driveshafts and gave them a coat of black,got the whirl brush on the grinder and set about cleaning the cavvy calipers and brackets....started to give them a lick of paint but had to stop mid stroke,had to do some proper paid work... Stayed on 2nite to start changing the hubs and bearings and fit the driveshafts,started on the n/s but the shaft needs shortening,as it wont fit tidy...so left it for 2nite...couple of pics...
Daz Not alot of progess today,shortened the n/s drive shaft by 24mm and then sleeved it and welded it together.
JohnnyN I meant does it have to run true from one end to the other. The only reason I ask is because I was wondering about vibration at speed. If the 2 ends are not in line then you will have radial run out which in turn will wank out the bearings? :roll:
Daz I'm not to sure john...gonna ask my man in the know 2moz,,can always knock up a nother shaft if it goes pear shaped...lol
