A question for you robin....do the 2.0 driveshafts need altering at all.?

what front hubs you using Daz??

I got the 2.0 conversion hubs andy,so they will take the 2.0 outer cv's...not sure if the shafts need shortemimg tho..

might be worth doing a bit of searching migweb as there's loads of info on there about putting a 2.0 into the corsa.

from what i've read on there you can use Corsa GSi shafts with 22 splines on the inner end and buy a set of Mk2 Cav 1.6 (86-87) inner CV joints but thats if you wanna use the original hubs. not sure about 2.0 hubs.

also you alright with wiring it in?

That depends who you ask notsure.gif

The Cav ones will fit as they are, but some people say they wear the bearings out quicker, then others say they're fine.

I'm not big on the big block tech stuff (I'm a smallblock man myself), but I'm sure if you post on Corsasport, they'll have all the answers 🙂

What make are the hubs you're using?

it's not a problem to start an engine with no water, I always start them first then add the water - just incase the engine has to come apart again :roll:

Cheers guys....i'm totally fubbered now...and as vocky says john,always best to start without water just incase...tis a bit loud atm..only got the downpipe on there...goin back up 2morow to make an exhaust,got a nice 8ft length of 2 1/2 inch pipe that needs to go missing ...
Cudnt get the dam thing started at 1st,had lives where i shud and all the wires from the 2.0 loom were fitted in there correct places....got there in the end tho(lack of earth on the engine)
B4 i started her i disconnected the king lead and cranked it over until the oil light went out...then she fired up sweet as...
after it was goin i took out the ecu and replaced it with my 130 one i had spare and it runs sweet with that(no lambda sensor to worry bout as the 130 i had was pre cat age)
