some more progress 😃

fitted the boot spoiler, the clam looms, new grille and the number plate lights - with new bulbs of course :lol:

the clamps are to hold the grille in place until the bonding stuff cures 🙂

removed the rear suspension ready for sand blasting, a couple of bolts are a git to remove, but all done

brakes are being replaced, good job :lol: handbrake cable needs replacing too 🙁

well I have now removed the rear subframe and cleaned the engine bulkhead 😃

stripped the engine down for tweaking, but I'm going to put the details of that in the bottom end rebuild thread 🙂

How did you find the difference in weight between the flywheels?

the standard item is quite heavy...........ok............blooming heavy showo..

I was a bit worried about the slave cylinder after your experience, but it was fine 😃

a small update 🙂

dropped off the rear suspension at the sandblasters this morning, should be back in a few days 😃

painted the rear subframe 😃

but thanks to some bad luck the engine is at a standstill :cry:

shame really I could have had it back in the vx by now 🙁

today I've been cleaning the gearbox, what a lovely job that is, but it's got to be done :?

got bored and fitted the number plate and back lights to the rear clam 😃

hopefully picking up the rear suspension from the sandblasters later, that will give me something to paint :lol:

been doing a few small jobs, the ones which take ages and give very little to show for all the hard work :roll:

I've also liked the vx220 from when it was first shown as a prototype and always wanted an europa blue one, but never thought I would get one.

still can't believe I own one, it will sink in eventually :lol:

Picked up the suspension from the sandblasters, another top job done and very cheap too - £50 for all the suspension :shock:

Been busy painting it all shiny black 8)
